1. About Mild Cognitive Impairment

In recent years, attention has been focused on "mild cognitive impairment (MCI)", which is intermediate between healthy people and dementia, in the prevention of dementia. These are the so-called reserve army of dementia. If mild cognitive impairment is left untreated, the risk of developing dementia in the future increases. Mild cognitive impairment is often overlooked because it does not affect daily life or social activities, but it is very important to take measures at this stage to prevent dementia. In many cases, people with dementia are reluctant to visit a hospital. In addition, it is common for the surrounding family to notice the abnormality before the person himself/herself recognizes the symptoms.
