nurse interview

outpatient chief

Nurse Ayumi Sakamoto

What is the duties of the outpatient chief?

I am working on outpatient work while understanding and educating outpatient nurses as a whole and responding to consultations from each individual.

I think the most important thing is to be close to the patient. Some people come to the hospital with anxiety or worry, so I always try to respond to them when they call out to me. Please feel free to contact me.

What do you keep in mind every day?

What made you want to work at Kensei Asakura Hospital?

When I got married and came back to my hometown, I thought, "There's a daycare center, so it might be good for raising children," so I started working there. I have two children and they both went to this daycare. If something happened to my child, I could see a doctor right away, which was really helpful.

What is the atmosphere like at work?

Everyone is cheerful, always smiling, and it feels good. I think it's a good atmosphere to work in.

What are you aiming for?

Since I have to respond to ambulances alone at night, I would like to obtain qualifications such as emergency care nurses in the future.

It's better if you can work with a sense of purpose. Also, many of the outpatient nurses have children, so we always talk to each other and try to leave on time as much as possible. There is also a daycare center, and I think it is easy for people of the child-rearing generation to work.

What kind of person would you like to visit?

nurse

In charge of the 2nd floor ward (observation room)

What do you keep in mind every day?

Hospitalization itself is a big deal for patients, so I try to get involved as much as possible. Our hospital is not divided into departments depending on the ward, so people with various diseases come. That's one of the characteristics of the school, but since it's not tied to a single department, you can't do it without a lot of knowledge, and I think there's a lot to learn. I study every day!

very good. Everyone is easy to talk to, and there is an atmosphere where you can talk openly even if your age is far. I think it's a very good workplace because I can immediately talk and consult when I'm in trouble.

What is the atmosphere like at work?

Since ICU is an ICU, I'm nervous every day because I don't know what kind of people will come, and I don't overlook the daily changes, but that's why I feel it's worth doing. Also, I can deepen my knowledge by consulting with doctors, medical staff, and nurses on a single point of view every day, so I feel rewarded in that aspect as well.

please tell me what is worth doing

Since the departments are not divided by ward, I hope that those who have not yet decided on their own path will learn various things at home and use it as an opportunity to decide on their path. After that, if you are energetic and willing to do it, any person will be happy!

Who would you like to work with?

We are waiting for your entry to Asakura Kensei Hospital!
